A Tudor Queen’s Earrings

These earrings were inspired by the fabulous jewelry from the show The Tudors. I noticed that Henry often recycled the jewelry that he gave his wives. If you were looking, once he was done with his current queen, the jewelry often showed up on the neck of another queen! So my ode to the wives of Henry the eighth! Stitch beadwork bezels around crystals and add layers of beads, crystals and crystal pearls. Add a few dangly crystal or pearl drops on the lower edge, and ear wires and the look is complete!

Get prepared for this class and start with A Piece of Cake offered right before this class. This is an intermediate to advanced beading level project. You must be proficient in the peyote stitch and with stepping up.

June 24 Sat. 2:00-5:00 $35.00

Peyote Basics: A Piece of Cake Bracelet

This is a great seed bead 101 class; we will take it from the beginning. You will learn about the different bead sizes and shapes, about needles and thread types.  So, if you’ve never tried peyote because of those little beads, why not give peyote another look with larger double size beads. Create a band of single even count peyote to fit your wrist. Embellish the sides with a ruffle of drop/fringe/dagger beads. Create closure with a bead loop and a Czech flower bead, a button or use a purchased clasp. Once you learn the technique these bracelets work up fast!
Excellent for beginners.

June 24 Sat. 10:00 – 1:00 $35.00
